1) hōh lī lawm lā…ʾān ḥetwelk lūkI’m not to blame…if I’ve gone mad for you
hōh meġtīri ṣidḳ // we-kelṯōna hūkI will speak the truth // And tell you
hēt mḏehk tī // w-ḳalbī berh šūkYou’ve bewitched me // My heart has fallen for you
2) hōh lī lawm lā…ʾān ḥetwelk lūkI’m not to blame…if I’ve gone mad for you
bōlek tī b-zeyn // b-źeḥkēt w-ʾaynYou’ve afflicted me with beauty // With your smile and your eyes
we-b-lebnīn // w-leṭfīn ḏ-būkWith the whiteness of your skin // And the grace that lies in you
3) hōh lī lawm lā…ʾān ḥetwelk lūkI’m not to blame…if I’ve gone mad for you
rōdek be-ḫḫədmēt // leǧrē ḏ-hētI’ve tossed away my work // On account of you
meḏh w-sebbēt // sōber hōh srūkEnchantment and affliction // I’m always right behind you

ʾān ġleḳkek lā // bī yeźyūḳ eḳāIf I can’t see you // The world tightens around me
w-ārtyīźen lā // ġeyr w-hōh hnūkI can’t be content // Unless I’m with you
